FMLA Compliance Kit
The final rules on Family and Medical Leave (FMLA) have been issued by the Department of Labor (DOL). Companies with 50 or more employees in the same facility or within a 75-mile radius must provide eligible employees with FMLA leave for the following reasons:
the employee’s serious health condition;
the serious health condition of a family member;
a qualifying exigency (short-notice deployment, military events, counseling, post-deployment activities, etc.) for employees with family members serving in the National Guard or Reserves;
or to care for an injured or ill servicemember.
